    Sturdy and smooth

This was a great upgrade for me. My old bike always felt too small for my height (5’10”) but this new one is perfect, and it would extend bigger for taller people than me. Its heavy and feels very sturdy and well made. Putting it together was straight forward. The only thing different to the instructions I did was that I used my own ratchet to tighten the bolts. The magnetic resistance seems very luxurious to me in comparison to the friction resistance I had on my previous bike. Its consistent, quiet and smooth whereas my old bike felt like cycling on square wheels! I do online spin classes three times a week on this and feel comfortable on it for the duration of a 60min class. I did my homework and read a lot of reviews from various different websites before deciding to buy this bike, which were all good and described it as being almost on par with much more expensive bikes. It was on offer for £199 when I bought it I think because there is a newer model available now. I’m getting on really well with this bike and I definitely recommend it. Especially for tall larger framed people as it can be a struggle finding equipment to suit.

    Best investment

The Joroto bike is one of the best investments I have made in my home gym. After much research I picked this Joroto bike… even as it is more expensive than the average bike available. It is definitely a joyful experience – I would give them full marks for a wonderful product.

Really great bike that i use easily with Peloton App

Update on earlier review: I contacted customer service at Joroto and asked if there is a fix to make the resistance a little more intense for those of us who are a bit stronger and they sent me a video documenting how to. Because I love so many of the other aspects of the bike and because Customer Service was so responsive and friendly, I upgraded my review to five stars. I also just tightened the nuts of the handlebars a bit and no more wiggle. Honestly, it offers about the same quality of ride as a Peloton and for a fraction of the cost. You need to turn the resistance knob a bit more than on a Peloton to impel the same degree of change in resistance but that’s about it.

    Original review:
I love a lot of things about this bike: it’s silent (I live in a pre-war apt building with poor insulation between floors so this was imperative so I would not disturb my neighbors). It’s also absolutely smooth when adjusting the resistance. The build quality is top notch. I’ve been on several pelotons and aside from a tiny bit of wiggle in the handlebars when a heavy tablet is placed on top, I don’t perceive of any compromise being made when compared with riding a peloton (like in terms of sturdiness or smoothness). I use this with the Peloton app displayed on a large tablet and it’s a seamless great match. you can’t get on the peloton leader board if you use the app but i don’t care at all about that, as i compete with myself and not others… The bike was easy to assemble (I recommend two people) with the clever sequencing detailed in the video tutorial and there was no damage in transit. Joroto clearly has its act together as a company, regarding creating a streamlined assembly. The two things i don’t love are 1) the tablet holder is very weak and feels like it might snap at some point with my big tablet and because of where I have room to put an exercise bike in my apt, i can’t really connect my tablet or phone to a projector or monitor, so this is a bummer. My bigger concern is that I’m not ultra fit and I’m a novice to spinning and I already am finding the highest resistance not quite high enough for when I need to get my rump off the saddle and ride on the pedals. This is a bummer because the bike simply won’t be challenging enough for me as I get more fit and require more resistance. The bike IS inexpensive for how well its made and for all the bells and whistles offered (including cadence reading on monitor, magnetic whisper-quiet resistance, tablet holder, etc), but I don’t think I would have purchased the bike had I’d seen reviews that mentioned how weak the highest resistance is (and I did my research, nobody mentioned this limitation in reviews). I’m a 5’11, 140-pound woman, age 47, and I’m pretty fit for my age but not crazy-strong or anything (not a work-out junkie), if this gives you any sense of whether you’ll need more or less resistance than me (like if you’re much lighter than i am or if you are very weak, I imagine this won’t be an issue since you’ll require less resistance)…The fit is great for for someone my height with long legs (and my husband is 6’2 and he’s very comfortable, although a different reviewer said at 6’4, he was pushing the limit). I also find the seat cushion entirely comfortable and I’ve been very uncomfortable on unsupportive, under-cushioned saddles so that’s also a plus…Too bad about the inadequate resistance…
